Who you're dealing with, before you commit.

Jimmy Flex Upholstery Trading CC is an upholstery workshop at Stall 16 in the Katutura Industrial Stalls, Komboni — by the Katutura Shoprite garages, Windhoek. We rebuild what people already own: vehicle seats and interiors, lounge suites, headboards, dining chairs and heavy canvas — stripped back to the frame, repaired properly and re-covered by hand.

The business runs on three promises that appear on every job card: quality workmanship, durable materials and on-time delivery. Every piece is inspected by the client at the stall before it leaves.

Jimmy Flex — Upholstery Design Unlimited

How we work

Three habits that decide whether upholstery lasts.

Anyone can staple fabric over a seat. The difference is what happens underneath it.

Frame first

If the frame is loose, new fabric only hides the problem. We brace it before anything else.

Made to measure

Panels are cut for your piece — no universal covers stretched over a shape that doesn't fit.

Dated promises

Every job leaves with a written turnaround date, and we tell you early if something changes.

The team

Four pairs of hands, one workshop.

Small enough that the owner touches every job, experienced enough to take on a full cab, a lounge suite or a run of fifty banqueting chairs.

Owner & lead upholsterer

Runs every quotation, judges every frame and signs off the finished piece. If you ask for the workshop, this is who you speak to.

Machinist & stitcher

Cuts and stitches the covers on the industrial machines — seat panels, piping, diamond stitching and contract canvas runs.

Trimmer & fitter

Shapes the foam, ties the springs and pulls the covers tight before the final inspection.

Frame & repair hand

Handles welding, re-gluing, bracing and re-stapling — the structural work that decides how long the finish lasts.

Visit Stall 16 and meet the team working on the machines.

Our history

Built one job at a time.

No franchise and no showroom — a working stall in Komboni, Katutura where the work is done in front of you.

Still the same promise

Quality workmanship, durable materials, on-time delivery.

It has been on the signage since the first stall, and it is what every job is measured against before it leaves the workshop.

  1. Chapter 01

    One machine at the stall

Jimmy Flex started with a single industrial machine at the Katutura Industrial Stalls — repairs, zips and covers for whoever walked in with a torn seat.

  2. Chapter 02

    Seats became the speciality

Word travelled through Katutura. Bakkie owners started arriving with stripped seats, and full rebuilds — frames welded, foam replaced, covers cut from scratch — became the everyday job.

  3. Chapter 03

    Lounges, headboards and dining sets

Households followed. Lounge suites were rebuilt down to bare timber, headboards were made to measure, and dining chairs and bar stools joined the same fabric runs.

  4. Chapter 04

    Canvas, contract and trade work

Heavy ripstop and PVC canvas came next: bakkie covers, tents, shade sails and repeat stitch runs for resale partners and events.

  5. Chapter 05

    Today at Stall 16

The same stall, the same machines, a bigger bench. Vehicle interiors, lounges, headboards, canvas and frame repairs all happen in one workshop, in front of the client.

On the shelf

Materials we keep at the stall.

Bring a photo, a cushion cover or the whole seat. We match colour and weight in person so there are no surprises when the job comes back.
